BRING US YOUR RUBBISH!
— and your imagination!
Thursday, 27 November, 2014
We are planning to run a series of Art & Craft Sessions for children and young people on the first Saturday of each month and need a range of items to get us started: please bring in cardboard tubes, silver paper, clear and coloured cellophane (such as sweet wrappers), off-cuts/scraps of cloth and anything else that you think might be useful. Donations of crayons, chalk, colouring pencils, felt-tip pens, coloured drawing paper and coloured post-it notes would be especially welcome.
There will be a bag at the back of church to put things in. Thank you in anticipation!

PILGRIM IS BACK!
Saturday, 12 April, 2014
Following the success of the Pilgrim Course in January/February, we're running two more courses after Easter to help us find out more about the Christian faith:
1. A Turning Point?
This group is for those who want the chance to think more about the Christian faith; those who have recently started to come to Church; those preparing for Confirmation; and those who have been Christians for many years and want to visit the roots of their faith again.
Each session lasts no more than 90 minutes.
For more information and to register an interest, please contact Revd Canon Sue Groom or Revd Patsy Critchley.
This course ran earlier this year with 12 participants who all enjoyed it and enthused about it!
Interested? Please contact Revd Canon Sue Groom.
Bishop Alan of St Albans is coming to Langford on Tuesday 8th July at 7.30pm. Please speak to Sue or Patsy if you are interested in being confirmed or in affirming your faith.
The Churchwardens of St Andrew's and St Mary's Churches are delighted to announce that the Revd Sue Groom, Priest in Charge of The United Benefice of Henlow and Langford and Diocesan Director of Ordinands, has accepted an invitation from the Rt Revd Alan Smith, Bishop of St Albans, to become an Honorary Canon of the Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Alban in recognition of her services to the Diocese.
An official ceremony for Revd Sue's installation will be held during a service of Evensong at the Cathedral at 4pm on Saturday 8th March 2014. All members of both churches and of the local community are warmly invited to attend.
